Blind to the world and blind to your heart:
I told you I would try my hardest to help you see.
I'll try my hardest to bring images to your mind
behind your blank eyes I'll display the world's beauty...
To the best of my ability, I want so badly to let you know
that when the sun shines I'll describe each ray and shadow,
When it rains I'll tell you about every drop and splash,
When the earth is blanketed in white, I'll tell you it is snow.
When the sky begins to fall, I will take the liberty
of describing each starry shard as it hits the ground:
I'll hold the pieces in my hand and prick the edges,
I'll sing to you in the crashing rythm with diminutive sound.
Sit with me at sunset and I'll tell you the story
of the reflective lake, gold with the setting colors:
I'll point out every shade of yellow
and hold your hand until I cannot speak anymore.
Let me be the one to open the many closed doors:
Draw back the curtains and let in the light,
so that you are no longer ignorant,
a prisoner to your damaged sight.
Blind to the world and blind to your heart:
I told you I would try my hardest to help you see...
And no longer blind, It will become clear,
That you can forever trust in me.
