A Tribute To A Virtue That Is Pinned As A Sin

A full swing batting to a suffering skull,
there is nothing quite so nameless
as a sinful pill swallowed in shame,
by those driven to a worthless guilt
to stories told of someone else’s fall.

Maybe it’s time to stand unafraid
and give a moments unsullied thought,
of parting our own fucking seas
so we can trudge along a self chosen path,
towards our own overdue exodus.

Let us pay tribute to the consuming power,
to The strength of one focused heartbeat,
to lay down and slay passion as a sin,
is no heaven that my beating chest
could ever allow me to find peace.

Insatiable in a need to fulfill
a hope, a dream, a commitment,
with full force claw and grasp forward,
releasing a violent “fuck you” roared
at all who say your passion is wrong.

Thanks. I was trying to steer away from a write about something I was passion about, or from the other kind of passion that you will usually see people write about when they see the word, I wanted to make a statement about how the word is often associated negatively, especially in religious circles.
