I'd write a whole wide world full of palpitating poetry.
If a carefully calculated cultured look would get us to it
my blackened mascared eyes could fast us forward
and by the time you knew the next of anything
you'd be mine, signed, sealed, soulfully satiated.
But, these are all so faintly, futilely irrelevant
so much of which you've no doubt had before.
Instead, I'll wrap a music CD inside your computer
daring you to take another half step out the door.
For by the time your favorite sultry song enraptures
with the melody swept from the poignant heights...
You'll be miles along the path of my loving ensuing
like a caged bird wondering how you were en flight.
Busily eating of my dainty, moist, cool concoctions
spread about like magnets fresh, rich and refined
as the last notes of the music finally finishes dawning
you'd be enraptured in the 'music' of quite another kind.
Author notes
#4. 'When words fail, music speaks...' Quote prompt
"Happy One Year Anniversary, musik-freek and many happy returns."
I chose to write on this prompt because music is so enthralling to me...A well sung song in competition with well played melodies causes my capillaries to threaten to implode...whatever that means hhaahaha
