I did not have the good fortune
to meet the man, yet I know him.
through friends high regards
and his poems artist renditions
through poetic words he painted,
I am able to be acquainted.
Those, who are my friends,
speak very highly of him.
I'm sure all who knew Rustynite
personally, have shared his spiritual light,
moral convictions, his thoughts length
and know his heart and spirits strength.
Reading the work of, Robert David Stone,
I came across this verse:
rapture
"i walk the street alone.
no one is left at home
there is trouble all
around.
chaos abounds as
i think of that
bible on the table
at home.
i read it so many times
i have carried it in
my mind all my life.
i spoke of it as a
work of art.
why did i not carry
it in my heart?"
I relate to the feeling of alone
trouble all around, what you've known.
The artistic values and spiritual efforts,
Only to feel you failed, hadn't done enough.
I believe, as a man of heart
who, from the bible, is not apart
and has spoken of it as an art,
giving of himself for others to start.
He has carried it in his heart all along,
Robert David Stone is with Jesus now,....
where in his soul his heart belongs.
May your soul now know you journey
is in your heart,
forever more.

Just Beautiful
This is the most beautiful tribute I've ever read. Oh dear sweet big brother you give this man that I do not know a love of respect and honor. He sounds like a wonderful man whom is resting with great joy in Heaven above now meeting Jesus and also my son. Best wishes in the contest

Shocked and saddened by the write, brother, as his humor had amused me, and we had chatted on line reading one anothers' poems..You have written a precious poem for him, and it does console me with what you have written, though he will be missed very much...Thanks for the spiritual mood you have created with your penning. Loss of loved ones is lessened when we know their is a reunion in heaven, with those who have gone on before

Thank you I know he was a modest man not one to push himself into the spotlight but I do feel he would be humbled by your words....smile......We can all learn from the wisdom and faith he held that strength which comes from knowing who you are as a person. Feeling good within your skin. This contest is not about trophies just about a missing smile.
