Marriage is such a blessing,
when love is in the lead .
Young and so excited ,
for all of life you do see .
Dreaming of a honeymoon,
only to find their is no way.
So within this dream she dreamt,
she keeps love brand new this day.
If her dream had come true,
this is what she saw.
Two lovers dancing in the moonlight,
on the shoreline the moon upon its wall .
Rushing waves and a warm gentle breeze,
wafteing across glistening skin .
And the scent of life in full bloom,
comes floating back again.
The honeymoon within her mind ,
two lovers so entertwined .
Locked in her memory even today,
for the honeymoon lost back they never found the way.
She she holds her dream now 29 years ,
with such love and the knowledge
each day draws near.
For age has taken that youth
and time has fell upon ,
and yet within her mind
that same moon forever set in stone.
For true lovers, that honeymoon,
you see never ends .
Its brought back with every kiss,
and they dance once again.
The moonlight filters upon them,
from their very own yard .
And in the knowledge of this love,
thanks God he dealt the cards.

I hope you enjoy this write for no I was never given a honeymoon as most see them today but I thank God he is still loving me today

Yes, if true love does come it will be like a honeymoon everyday they are together, I thought I found it once but it was not to be but the wanting and faith that it will find its way to me is still in my heart.

Excellent write, a good lasting marriage has nothing to do with weather you got a honeymoon or how much it cost. Love is what counts and that is what you seem to have. AMEN!

the imagery in this is really pretty! my favorite lines are "And the scent of life in full bloom,
comes floating back again." i think if you added a , after life the meaning would be a little clearer, but it's such a powerful comparison, regardless. I got the sense that at times, you wanted to stray from your rhyming scheme.. there's nothing at all wrong with freeverse, and i think you should give that a shot too! i feel like your words are too free to be confined sometimes!
