A Blessed Day

many hardship days
endured these suffering pass
on the first settlers

 

as harvest was scarse
they relied on their neighbor
at their time of need

 

just as days of old
thank God in their time of need
for a blessing of

 

lit thanks through a hard
time as it is today, we
bless the bountiful

 

harvest year of days
to come given a light at
end of a journey

    this is really cool, i sometimes forget what you can do with haiku, it's not my style, but this is really great you told a story with that kind of restriction, wow, that's amazing, best of luck in the contest
