Winter's ferocity belittles,
relinquishing his snowy grasp.
Allowing flowers to awaken,
from their dispiriting hibernation.
Each blossoming petal by petal,
aiding it's enthralling beauty.
Until chattering hands come down,
plucking it from their rich course bed,
to ask the endless school girl chant,
“He loves me, he loves me not”
