At the wrist, our hands were bound
with ribbons of white and red
You gave me your vows that day
and promised me you would stay,
only to part when we're dead.
I gave you my heart to keep
and you ripped it all to shreds.
Your forever is a lie
and I just cannot deny,
you are twisted in the head.
You told me that you love me,
but I guess that was not true.
It was just after three years
when you confirmed my worst fears,
you told me that we are through.
This game you played with my mind
was a game I could not win.
I tried all of your changes,
burning all of the pages
to try and begin again.
The monster that I've become
is not what you had in mind.
So you cast me from your grace
for some other pretty face.
Someone who is just as blind.
I hope he fits your fancy
and changes the way you wish.
Complying with your demands,
following through with your plans.
That life, I will never miss.

Very strong poem, Communicates your anger and sense of rejection very well. Good rhyme, too, keeps the poem flowing.
"was a game you could not win." I suggest changing you to I.
Stay safe and come home healthy and whole.
