My Lord And My God

My Lord and My God
You who are my maker and creator
Praise your holy name
And lead us out of the darkness

Let your Holy Light shine
Like a beacon that we may follow
One of it's beams to you
That you may give us a new rament to wear

Give us a garment of love
Give us a pair of shoes with understanding
Grant us a cloak of wisdom to wear
And an umbrella full of patience

Last but not least fill our hearts
With thankfulness, and forgiveness
And don't forget a little bit of humbleness
Just to keep us tender

Oh my God in Heaven also give to us
Thy hand that we may walk with you daily
Feel thy strength and guidance in our life
That we may serve Thee well
OH, MY LORD AND MY GOD

I like this very much, especially the thoughts about wearing a garment of love and the other things in the 3rd verse. You have written an amazing prayer, full of respect for God. The spelling in verse 4, I think, is 'forgiveness'. Effective repetition of 'My Lord and my God' in the title and 1st & last lines. Well written.
