Once upon a time in a Surgeons dreary room.
A little boy, only 9, lie waiting for his doom.
Mom and dad was crying, as doctors pushed them away.
Nothing left to do, except to wish and pray.
The boy was scared to death, fear mounted on his face.
But he knew to survive, fear had to be embraced.
He held his tears and bravely fell asleep.
If he won this battle, his life would be his to keep.
That boy is now married, has a family and a wife.
He's alive because a group of surgeons saved his life.
So don't ever forget that there are people who care.
If it wasn't for those people, that little boy wouldn't be here.
Author notes
I had surgery when I was a little kid. I'm not married or anything yet but I will be someday because of these people. Surgeons save lives everyday. There are so many good people in the world. Don't let things get you down.
