From the kitchen Window

Morning mist and fog
Mid winters presentation

More wood for the fire

Oat field  glossy green
Contented cattle grazing

Peace and contentment

Hay cut and carted
Drying stubble stays in sight

Not a pleasant sight

Cattle back grazing
All animals black and shining

Rural tranquility

Hot sunshine coming
All grass now disappearing

Summer has arrived

Author notes

The seasonal changes are all visible from the kitchen window.

Wow! What a great view you must have from your window! I loved the way the words and imagery flowed smoothly from one season to another. Such a lovely write!

We are blessed with a window with an ever changing view. A constant parade of birds add to the more stable ground views. Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate all input.

I like this, the quick snapshots of the changing view from the same window. Beautifully done, I can see it with you.

I am also collecting photos from that same window. Seasonal changes and the variations as the farmer makes use of the paddock. One day I may put up a series of photos showing the views I enjoy from the kitchen window. They could be in conjunction with the series of poems. Anyway, many thanks for your comments and I am pleased you enjoyed the read.

That kitchen window is a magical place. The view is across farmland with the neighbor's sheds and stuff in the background one way and the bank of the river another way. It is constantly changing from day to day as well as season to season. I have a collection of photos from misty morning, reflected sunsets, green pastures with angus cattle , ahycutting and baling to what it is now with dry stubble left after haymaking a few weeks ago. I'll post them all someday. Thanks for your comments, much appreciated.

Your kitchen window sounds like a wonderful place and it obviously inspires some wonderful poetry from you Bob. As usual, you use great imagery that takes the reader there

That window is magic. the scene changes every day yet the features remain the same.
I have a stack of photos in different seasons and at different times of day. I'll find somewhere to put them one day so everyone can see the same things I do. Thank you for your supportive comments and clappies

The scene is much the same, but always different from that window. I have a stack of photos that I will put up somewhere someday. It's a bit on the dry side just now though.
Thanks for your continuing support and encouragement, my friend.
