A New Alternative to the Traditional Ballet Proposal
(derived from the poem series "The Mini Epic Romantic Saga of Sir Kitty and Princess Kite")
| I was thinking of a proposal. A dry, dry proposal. So, being a creative type... I said, "screw that!" So I had this notion to transform "the proposal" into something more interesting. Thus, a "Ballet Suite for Your Mind".
Choose a scene, read the synopsis, then play the selected suite music, and watch and the ballet in your mind as the orchestra plays-
my theory being that your imagination will naturally fill-in the details now that you are told it is music to a ballet- the set design, the costumes, the dancers, and the story will all play out in your mind... remember to create a lofty ballet...!

In the bath they both conduct a naval battle and sink one another's ships. The scene then follows them royally back to the dinner table where the dinner bell rings again...

| Live Scene after Kitty Recovers- This is a satire on rituals- these being those involved with the Kings receiving and eating their bread, and the rituals involved in proceeding to and taking their baths, during which they conduct mock naval battles and sink each other's fleets.
|
| The two Kings act out the scenes concurrently, each on their half of the stage, so the differences in rituals can be humorously compared After the bath, the dinner bells ring again and the Kings proceed to and sit at their tables again.
The dining halls are on each side of the stage, the bathing chambers are in the middle; the two Kings are separated by a wall, to denote that they are in each of their castles.

Author notes
Musical scores by me, except for the following arrangements: arrangements from the works of Random Goldfish: Where the Water Sleeps, The Obsidian Tree, The Sable, Chained in Silver, In Autumn, The Sable, The Snowy Banks, The Forest Altar; The War Theme arranged from a piece by Michael David Krueger.
Derived from the poem "The Mini Epic Romantic Saga of Sir Kitty and Princess Kite"
Artistic Notes: The ballet offers drama, action, story, and romance, above and beyond that created by the set design and choreography.
The artistic goal is to have the audience immersed, in a perpetual smile, in constant wonder, and at times crying and laughing at the same time.
Note to Self: remember to reserve the final artistic say on all aspects of the ballet according to my higher artistic goals, i.e. obtaining the desired effects on the audience, as covered above.
