I told them that I said it
I uttered all 5 words one after another
Strung
And they pieced you
I said
I said
I said it
But baby
I wasn’t that brave
And
You told me it was better
If I let you hold my hand
I let you take me out
a wound needed fresh air
you said
He told me
he told me
He could fix us
But I never once thought we were broken
I never once did
Why did I want to walk away?
Baby I thought it was what WE wanted
But I wasn’t that brave
I think we both weren’t

Beautiful Poem Juana. It was deep and heartfelt. I like the way you put spaces in, like pauses. Like you were saying this out loud and, were thinking what to say next to this guy. Good job and congratulations on the gold.

This is sad. It gives off confusion and a jagged sadness (more than sad less than grief...)
The ONLY solitary mistake was in the 4th line.
I think you meant 'pierced'
Anyway, this was lovely (sadish)

this is sad
and i understand it....... -
That was amazing.
I love the format of it. It almost felt like everything was pouring into place tied up perfectly with the ending.
But I wasn’t that brave
I think we both weren’t
Those too lines I can really relate too.
Great Write
