awaking

and i shall rest
'neath the shade of the Yew
the branches stretching
out o'er my head
i shall eat of the fruit
of the tree of life
and i shall die there
i shall pass away
i shall be no more
of flesh and blood made
i shall die there
under the yew tree
with poison flowing
through my veins
and i shall rest
'neath the shade of the yew

Please tell me what you think

This is an damn fine piece of poetry. It flows stunningling and really is soul food. Unfortunately it has exceeded the line requirements of the contest (10 lines or less). I'm very sorry that I must DQ the poem. It truly is exceptional
