Deeya on a sea spree

While holidaying in Maui
Deeya was playing by the sea
A teeny weenie Nemo popped out
And whispered from her snout

Hey, would you like to play with me?
Of course, I will, "Deeya replied happily."
Deeya packed some snacks in her rucksack
leaped forth and sat on Nemo’s back

Swish whoosh off they fled
Curly whirly surfing ahead
Dancing like a ballerina
Round and round in blue arena

They went too far and lost their way
They looked back in sheer dismay

Sadly the shore was out of view
Out of the blue, Barney came to rescue

"You shouldn’t have come this far to explore"
He took them safely to the shore
Deeya could hear mum’s voice , “finish your ice cream”
Deeya woke-up from a "sea-spree" dream.

    Honestly? Tis too happy for my taste ^.^. But it's innocent imagery is what gives it it's beauty. I can see that she really IS a source of light .I hope you had a nice diwali ^.^

    This is so cute. And Deeya is looking sweet...she's growing up fast.
    This fantasy tale with Deeya and her favorite cartoon characters- Nemo and Barney is fun and vivid.
    I am sure that when she is older, Deeya is going to relish these poems that you write for her.

    I loved how short, simple and loving this poem was. It had wonderful imagery, and was lyrical and sweet. I miss reading poems like this. This one brings back wonderful memories of days when I was younger. Thank you.

    My daughter at age four also loved Barney as did her brother and older sister.We sang his song about every day and never missed an episode.Enjoy every minute that you have with her at this age each minute is irreplacible.I am glad that I got the chance to read this.It is very well written.Your attention to detail and the love that you show in writing this is great.Good luck to you.

    Hi MIna,
    how are you doing? Glad to read another one of your favorite topics. Deeya has become really pretty. She's looking very sweet with that little flower in her hair. Although she has grown but her smile is just the same as in her previous photographs. I loved this one! May God Bless the little princess. There must be many more poems coming for her by her Grandpa.It would be nice if you collect all these poems in a book and then gift her on her wedding day. She would love it

    I wish they had kept the options of more applauds.
    It's simply fantastic and equally cute. But ofcourse less than Deeya!
    As a kid (and sometimes even now) I used to roam in my world of dreams which were very much similar to this.
    Loved it!
