Envy- that little, green monster
that creeps inside of me.
Every time you say her name,
every time I see you with her,
jealousy courses through my veins
like a raging, uncontrollable fire.
Envy crawls under my skin
with every touch
and every word spoken
that I wish could be mine.
Just when I think
that little, green monster is gone,
she says your name,
so sweet and so full of love,
and Envy returns.
