before you fell from the heavens
and landed in my heart,
my world was bleak
and yet I was granted the sweet joy
of having the skies open above me
spilling out colors, smells, tastes one could never dream of
but the greats of these gifts,
the very reason for them was you
I live in fear that one day realize
my imperfection and know your too good,
till then I bask in the golden light of your love
feel a shiver roll down my body
when your lips speak my name,
the rush when I look deep into your
soft velvet brown eyes
know you mean it when you say you love me
