How are you struggling through the clouds today?
Why do you ask, you're oblivious to it!
I am aware of your suffering
Then why are you so damn cheerful? It's makes me sick.
I must see the silver lining to keep you from going under.
But every silver lining has a cloud.
That's only the way you choose to see it when the poison grips your mind.
How can you rise above it when I cannot?
I am the blazing fire within you, I rise above everything! You are the suffering child; I am here to carry you.
Well sometimes I wish you'd get the hell out of here and let me drown.
I am aware that you don't mean that, for you would have given up long ago if you did.
I don't have a choice, I have to stick around for my son.
Then let him be your saviour!
Author notes
This is about my fight with mercury poisoning and the two sides of me, strong and weak.

Your conversation with yourself is very convincing -- how ill you must have been, and thank goodness for the child! Very well done. Clear vivid statements, and a very "conversational" flow. A good read.
