Wedding Day

She walks down the aisle,
Like a princess, she is dressed

Wishing her father would give her away,
Inside her, she stressed

A whole new life she saw,
In his eyes, right ahead

But, how she wished over and over,
that her parents were not dead.

Damn. I thought of my wedding day when I read this, my father never came and it broke my heart so I can relate to the words within this to a point.

I think you penned this beautifully with the sense of sadness but also hope and love as she walks towards her new life
