Invisible

Non-existence
Exists within
Her mind only.
Can you see her there?
She is but a fly on the wall.
Why would anyone give her a second glance
or a little glare?
Here she'll stay,
Forever
Here.
This invisible girl,
with this invisible life,
in this invisible world
indifferent to her self
to her world.

    Ghosts...
Loving the idea of the 'invisible' background.
Thank the lord for highlighters, huh??

I think sometimes everyone wants to feel invisible, but I don't think anyone wants to be invisible all the time.

Well, I would cry... But I make myself noticed.
    Hmmmm.

    Great write here.. very melancholy...

It's not uncommon for people to feel insignificant, even neglected. As if they're passing unseen at times by those around them. I think celebrity culture over the past decade has made it seem as if we have to be noticed all the time ... as if to be valid and successful, we must exist in some kind of limelight, be noticed ... rather than just simply "being". Sometimes - as you suggested in the opening part of the poem - this feeling of insignificance and "non-existence" does indeed manifest in the mind of the individual. It's a sad situation. I think as long as we are the person who we feel we are (and strive toward being the person we believe we can be at best), and don't hurt others as we journey through days, having our little adventures and making our experiences, claiming our share of life, that's not a bad thing to aim for - anything else is a bonus

I felt scared for the little girl,
sometimes we can be lost in our own world.

    your words are heard,
    best wishes,
    Isabella
