More is Less

Talking to one another, time would pass by;
Every word spoken between us I will never forget.
Remembering your laugh and when you used to cry;
Moments spent with you I would never regret.
To me we were not only friends but more;
Telling you that broke a bond never to mend.
Not talking to me now, burns my inner core;
Why has this happened, our friendship at an end?
With every second passing, with every breathe taken;
Every step going further the path slowly disappearing.
So confused from inside, my love was shaken;
Once close but now so far my heart is tearing.
    By just wanting us to be closer together
    I lost my best friend for ever and ever

    Welcome to Allpoetry

    Hi, Julien

    Ah, the joys of friendship and love... There's nothing quite like falling for a close friend, taking it to the next level, and feeling like complete strangers when it doesn't work out. I had an ex-boyfriend who was one of my closest friends, but when it ended, I no longer had any idea who he was; the person I had cared for was gone.

    Within your last two-lines is the lasting-effect; this allows you to truly connect with your audience. Your final words will stick with me for days.

    I'm so glad that you've shared this with us, and I look forward to reading more of your work. If you have any questions at all, please let me know

    Write on!
