You could not understand my sadness.
My pain piecing your soul.
It was not your fault.
You did nothing .
I had no choice but to love you.
no other option was possible.
Spending your life being you,
pushing the limit, insatiable curiosity.
Your dichotomy,
structure tested to the limit by possibility.
It has always been you.
It will always be you.
Through ages past and future,
connected by linear threads.
Touching souls sometimes fleeting.
Knowing we will meet again.
We have danced this dance before.
Your leavings holds the savor,
the promise of return so sweet.
Horde the memories we keep.
When I miss you a little bit,
you say, look to the stars,
to Ursa Major where Mizer smiles.
Look, I am there waiting for you.
"Will you remember me?
I will remember you".
I watch as you prepare to leave,
snow already falling in you ice blue eyes.
Back to the snow and the high mountains
and I, here tied to the land.
look to the stars, we are always connected.
yes I will remember you.

yes. but to the north star. we are always connected, and that is one solace that I have, always, always...
"Spending your life being you,
pushing the limit, insatiable curiosity."
...which was him, always pushing, always reaching his limit and going beyond... Sometimes it's eerie and I wonder-- do people know?
I want to thank you for entering my contest. I am closing it because I didn't find anything I wanted to award a trophy to-- but that could be because this topic is obviously very close to my heart, and I'm realizing I probably shouldn't have opened a contest for this in the first place. I wonder if anything would have been good enough.
I am awarding 30 points to all participants for their effort and sentiment. Thank you for reaching out with your words.
