You've done very well to show us the concept of dualism in winter here! I actually never thought of it that way (maybe because we don't get much snow here in South Africa). But that is what a poet should do: to show us the familiar in a fresh way.
I would have prefered the cinquain to flow a bit more as it leans a bit towards the didactic form, but other than that, a very good write. Thank you for this entry.

Hard ice; soft snow. Nothing whiter than a white-out in an Arctic blizzard!
