Otherside

smoke
trickling upward
in sinuous spirals
to caress the leaves
of the infinite blackness flowering
outward, intimate fractal blooms of potential.
the sacred poppy grows in abundance
the wind shakes its pods
to listen to its
sublime rataplan before
spreading the
seeds.

Shiva
smiles upon
this hidden garden,
bringing his herbiferous favor
up from the black fertile
quantum soil which nurtures all things.
green hands wave and dart, trying
to snatch the poppy seeds
from the hands of
the air, without
much evident
success.

mushrooms
in lunar
platoons, all around,
stalwart before the howling
and shining eyes which issue
from the forest, warping the illusion
to reveal the reality-weft
within it, inextricable intertwined,
this quark-web
some call
Heaven.
