I’m flying in my spaceship
destination planet Earth
I’ve always longed to go there
ever since my birth
There’s chaos on my planet
that politics can’t fix
Too many greedy people
and hypocrites in the mix
They’re talking about green power
but talk is really cheap
The economy is crashing down
but our wallets they still reap
They’re fighting over fossil fuels
from back when dragons reigned
They need to speed the process up
before our planet’s drained
They’re talking about green power
of harnessing the wind
And then they want to charge us more
so the greedy still do win
They play with prices at the pump
but our spaceships use too much
They have the knowledge for better models
but our government’s lost its touch
They’re talking about green power
of harnessing the sun
But of course this won’t come cheap
so the greedy still have won
I’m flying in my spaceship
towards Earth to start anew
There’s nothing that can help poor Mars
the greedy have gone askew

I think you have summed up our future in a proper perspective as the greedy always seem to win. But what have they won, can they buy their health too? NOPE. They will still die like the rest of us. LOL I enjoyed your poem and its detailed iuendo manner. I think some of the gov. act like aliens from another planet forgetting what life is really like here on earth for the rest of us.
