Promises

Promises, promises, promises and then contrition
Words of love and longing in-between sedition
All the lines now penned. The mighty Roustabout
Are cause for contemplation, and doubt
He loves her so he says. Caste those doubts aside
One day they shall marry. A virgin as his bride
But he must clean his slate. Mister never mean
And get that quick divorce, a dream
And she shall do the same. seeking his advice
Together they'll be happy. shedding all their vice
Words of magic flow between the words of lies
Penned by master poets, of disguise.
And promises...Cause hopes to rise.

Thank you so much for entering my contest. I haven't had a chance to reply to any of the poems until now. I love the way you play with words in this poem, you make them come to life and sing for the readers. I also think the rhyme and rhythm are fantastic. Great job on this piece!

Yes indeed the young of today has found love just a phrase to get what they want uncaring of what they leave behind .Sad it is that the male and female of our race sems to have only one thing on their minds uncareing of the person they are with

There are alot of players on here. One of the things I found the other day was a man who is also one of the better known female erotic poets on the site. I wonder how many times this scenario has been played out in the AP underbelly.

      Lol

Mike that is so funny. Just goes to show. Just yeterday I lost a reader cause he thinks I am lying to him about a pretty big female player on here. The guy has become obsessed with her. What am shame.

    Wow,

Its not a group then, it a mind game played to take control, and feel that void ,hearts kept beating with words of deceit, just to make that other person complete! wow that is great Bob,

sin and forgiveness, both can be brought to the light by love. two sides of a coin, choices and emotions. I loved it bob, really...

    Bravo and Amen

So True So True So True!!!!!!!!!
Yes the games are played, the hearts are broken, the tears fall, and you lose all faith and trust in love and some are never the same again, all because they play their games.
TERRIFIC poem you have penned. Always so much truth in your writing.

Hugs and Smiles to a friend

    Bless You, Sandy

There are so many players on here. Travelling saleman selling sex. Ladies in waiting. Married lusters. Broken promises. Purveyors of false hopes. I know only to well. For I to have been a believer. But I learned qiuck. Lol & many on here shall wish to slap my face.
