A tear on a leaf,
One delicate drop,
Gliding smoothly down to the tip
To dangle unsurely.
A tear on a leaf,
One drop of torment
From the corners of the eyes of the sky
From the clouds as they die.
A drop on a leaf,
One of a million, or a billion,
Or a gazillion such drops of dew.
A tear on a leaf
Is nothing special,
But this one I cried for you.
