Darkness Before the Dawn

In those times of trouble and doubt
When it's darkest before the dawn
And your prayers go unanswered
Take a deep breath

And though you may feel
The weight of the world
Pressing in on you
Keep your balance and reach inside

When cloudy nights impose
Threatening your piece of mind
Be at peace with all things
And you will surely find
Another way out

Even the lonely and downtrodden
Can feel lost and forgotten
There is always an answer at hand
Remember it's always darkest before the dawn

And though they feel the most disheartened
There is always a chance the light will shine
Like a candle flame flickering
In the storm

Voices can be heard when lifted up in prayer
A chorus of music that fills the void
And can reach the highest high
Even when it's darkest before the dawn

I'm so

What an uplifting and beautiful poem! Even the background makes one feel as if weight has been lifted, like in the song...
    Beautiful!
