Motel Rooms Anthem

Miles along the white lines
burning embers in my head
the ladies on my mind
as I passed the state instead

So little is forgiveness
when a man must do his job
all the emotions trickle
Lord I feel like such a knob

But that’s the way it flies
in a never ending stream
a man is but a man
until he hears you scream

Bounty is for dreamers
lost along the way
foraging for survival
in a magnificent way

Sway little angel
see how the dust flies
born now to make a mess
with your beautiful brown eyes

But that’s the way it flies
in a never ending stream
a man is but a man
until he hears you scream

I loved those lines they had so much truth to them. Usually I'm not a fan of rhyming poetry but I enjoyed this because the rhyming wasn't forced here.
    Great Write.
