burning

burning in my heart are all of those who cause me pain
tearing at my insides
my soul bleeds
but there are those who cause fires, and those who put them out
enemies and friends
anger and joy
the friends always win in the case of truth
putting out fire
dousing the cinder
the heart no longer burns

"The heart no longer burns." Great ending line. It was strong, yet not too overemotional. That closed it very nicely. Great uses of emotions, and I am glad you didn't over use them. Some do. Excellent write and good luck in my contest.
