Watching it rain
Hour within the hour
wondering when it will stop
and let sunshine come through
recalling those times past
where seasons
play
like faeries
within the moonlight
frolicking a moment at a time
celebrating nature
in full bloom
where in one listens
secrets are revealed
as life
puts a smile on one's face
and laughter in the heart.

I liked how simple this poem seemed, but how complex it really was. This was very well written, and I enjoyed the structure of the piece. It reminded me of wisteria vines creeping up the side of a house. This poem was uplifting and made me smile. Great write.

Nice

I must say, I just read an incredibly long poem, and it's nice to read something short and concise. This is very cute and very sweet, but I don not - not one bit - like the background. But, that is the only thing that I would change.
Thank you sharing this!

interesting spelling of fairies...
I wouldn't choose it but I guess it adds to the ethereal quality of the poem. -
love this piece. it flowed so well, and i like the way the words cascade down

Very sweet. I line how the lines are staggered like falling drops of rain.

I love the fairies part, I've just got a thing for fairies. And fairies playing in the moonlight is actually an excellant comparison for the seasons now that I really stop and start to think about it. Very well done, keep up the excellant work.

Ahhh yes, watching the mesmerising rain fall and letting the mind free associate without hinder. A lovely idea.

-
I always love watching it rain, because it somehow looks magical.
The images this poem paints are very beautiful, and it's very well written. Nice. It sounds so soothing when read aloud. -
i like the way its set out!

and i LOVE the poem. and the descriptions great! keep it up!
-

where seasons play like fairies within the moonlight.
that is awesome, i just love fairies and that gave me a great picture with i was reading your poem.. great job!

I don't know why "within" stopped me, but it did. And is "where in" the same as "wherein?" I liked the feeling of the rain and being inside not getting wet.

Love this...love watching, listening to and strolling in the rain (warm rain, that is for the walking part) ..it sure is a celebration of life

Just as a rainbow doesn't always appear after a rain so too they are not
always be in our lives, but with time we soon see that the rain still
did its 'cleansing'...

You're like me- you like plain English. Nice light touch here, however, with shades of poeticismalityosmosistricitylites... I recently came across a contest where the poem couldn't use any of these words:
1: the
2: of
3: to
4: and
5: a
6: in
7: is
8: it
9: you
10: that
11: he
12: was
13: for
14: are
15: on
16: with
17: as
18: I
19: his
20: they
21: be
22: at
23: one
24: have
25: this
I'd like to see you do a few just to see what you'd come up with... the way I did it was I wrote a regular line, then modified it...

This made me smile, points for you! I like the seeming contradiction of sunshine, and moonlight. I also liked the visual that went with it. This was my favorite of your latest three.

-
i love the rain! but sunshine is good, too, i guess. i like this. good job.

Hmm... I like the rain
LOL. Nicely written. I kind of connected with the idea of a young girl, lost in sorrow, and waiting for the "sun to shine through" ...waiting for that next opportunity for happiness to come strolling along. Well done

Without the rain the other seasons are all rather dry and lifeless...
