Dripping

In my heart an irritation is growing,
like a drop of water flowing
growing more impatient.

as my ears strain for that next drop,
my mind is begging for it to stop.
An ache echoes with every held breath.

in my soul search I have found,
the irritation to the sound
Crimson, seeping from the wound.

love lost keeps it open, where pain grows,
like a dripping faucet it flows
try as I may I can not staunch the blood.

    I can feel the pain in your heart when this was written. It is how I feel somedays too. But then tomorrow comes with a new day to move on. This was a wonderful poem and I thank you for entering and best of luck in my contest. Take care, Sandy

    Im am currently going thru what gonna be a really nasty diviorce with my husband. No matter how many days pass ans even after all hes done to me I will always love him. its something the heart will not allow me to stop. Each day is just another struggles as you battle your demons one by one all you can tell yourself is Happyness is a habit I wil devolop daily. I love this poem though the way you express yourself after this hardship of break is woundrfull you are wiling to share this. Wish you the best of luck *DANI*

      I am sorry to hear about your divorce. My ex cheated on me. I told myself I could never trust to love again. I stopped looking and closed myself off. then I met this funny grumpy guy and he taught me to love again. have faith. God has plans for your heart. I am here for you if you ever want to chat.
