All the Same

No matter what our souls are made of,
Nor the colour of our skin,
All are matching in their line up,
For we are all human to begin.

Hers and yours are all the same,
As are his and mine,
Excluding race, gender and name,
All of our hearts intertwine.

For be we known to all the world,
Or just to that special one,
All are human; all the same
When all is said and done.

Author notes

Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same

    Amen

I always think of the children's church song...red and yellow, black and white, Jesus loves the children of the world, but seriously we are one and the same, clever, well written write. Blessings.

If you care or in love, it does not matter what others think. Some will always disapprove of whoever you are with. You do not live your life according to what others think, you decide what you want and go from there. May happiness find you and keep you safe.

Perhaps at the moment of birth and again at death this is most clearly seen... at all other times it is hard to believe that everyone is so similar to each other.

Very wise words indeed, well constructed piece with a nice flow.

    Congrats and best of luck

It is one of society's weaknesses.
There is a song by Gwen Stefani that talks about this issue called Long Way To Go... goes a little something like...

"We've got a long way to go
        When snow hits the asphalt
And cold looks and bad talk comes

We've got a long way to go
        It's beyond Martin Luther
        Upgrade computer
        [What colour is love?]"

Just thought I'd share it with you.
I'd advise you to take no notice of what other people say or think =)
And I wonder how differently society would act if everyone was blind... would it matter whatsoever then ?

        Good luck with it hon

    If only

If only the magic would appear to make it so poet. Sadly no matter how many prayers, songs or poems are written it has never been te case. The color of money changes all things for most.

Too true, Bob, and thanks for commenting. It's as I said to Kyle; I went on a date yesterday, with a man whose skin was black, and that made difference of none to me - but to some - I know - there would be trouble. Sad story for the world!
