The Market

In the middle of the street,
The market bustles with sellers
Of brightly coloured yarn.

A man plays the flute, another sings,
Cafes are full of people talking,
Eating and drinking.

As night falls the sound intensifies,
The atmosphere fills with melodies
Multicultural, sublime.

The tambourine plays to the beat

Of the drum, and a toothless old man

Nods his head and grins.

    I really like this poem.

I really like this poem. I would like to know more about the smell of the food in the market ,as well as their texture, and what ever other sensory info might enrich the poem.
