As mood-swings dangle
On twinkling stars
And fantasies spin
Like a car, ready to crash
She goes to bed wondering
What she has done, to deserve
What she’s going through
Before her eyes shut
And her dreams carry her
Into a world that exists in her delusion
Memories brush past her
Like a whirlwind
Moments that ticked away
As she lived a care-free life,
They flew too fast, as now she longs
For them to run back into her fragile arms
Before she sleeps every starry night
She forgets the pain, each needle brings
And prays to the gods above
That the angels wouldn’t leave her astray
