I think to myself what a wonderful world as you look me in the eye,
I have no worries, no cares or strife, I don't steal or cheat or lie.
When the sun is shining I feel relaxed, when it's raining I feel alive;
I run about in the river here, I swim and jump and dive.
I smile and laugh and tumble about; I haven't a care in the world,
I feel the wind rushing gently around me making my fur soft and curled.
I don't understand why anyone would think that this is a terrible place,
For though I live in a cage, I know that I'm living in the Father's grace.
Don't dwell on things that have happened to you; I can see it in your eyes,
Look at me and you will see how easily my soul flies;
Because I don't care what troubles sorround me, it will not bother me,
For though I'm bred in captivity, my soul will always be free.
