Trees and vines grow over our walls,
as society starts to forget,
the noble knights,
and distant kings,
that feasted here tonight.
The children of today,
stare at us in wonder,
not knowing just how long it took,
to break those mighty walls.
They don't know of the great battles,
i saw when i was young,
all they know is this castle is pretty,
and it's walls are made of stone.
The present will forget me here,
as the vines start to choke,
the trees all spread their leaves around me,
like a winter evening's cloak.
So farewell, my days of glory,
when horses and battles were in,
say hello to a newer world,
one full of tech and sin.
