Marooned together

We have enclosed ourselves
in our private labyrinth
of blue moistures
and spicy climate of love.

Becoming an unmatchable
flower garland,
your arms always gather me
firmly towards your body.

We walk through
sand, shells and transparent waters,
the nature becomes more beautiful
as I have you besides me, smiling.

On a blank leather-bound diary
we sign our marital commitment
of ever-growing love,
and stamp it with a kiss.

Soft instrumental music
of flutes and violins
emanates from the record player,
suffusing our island of love
with never-ending romance.

Yards of red silken fabric
tied between two coconut trees
becomes our honeymoon bed,
where we swing day and night.

Tropical birds come and depart,
eager to witness our togetherness,
we wrap the shawl of night around us
and our caresses whisper
secretly to each other.

You tenderly massage me
with aromatic oil of your tongue
and teasing strokes of your fingers,
making me glow
thoroughly.

My love,
you own me entirely.

This is soooo romantic. I love your imagery. It flows pretty good. A few snags but not many. I like this. Thanks for sharing this with us and thanks for entering it into my contest.

    Superb

A very fine write; and paeon to love. I wrote a humorous bare bones poem about love, which you might enjoy. It is a little risque, yet funny, from what I've been told: "Eros and Aphrodite". Here's a link to it:

    A Tropical Paradise...

just made for the perfect couple in love. You harmonize the immagery of the landscape with the senses of eternal love and the combination you have created is pure bliss. Well done and good luck in the contest...alby
