Broken Verses of Thee
edited by Rachel; Miss Take
Dawn to dusk and dusk to thee
Winds whisper thy memory
Eve to morn and morn to me
Turn these pages so thou may see
In the mind's eye of silent rue
Thoughts to pen and pen to cue
Sorrow and soul become one
Immersed in grief and all be done
Though I turn to face the sun
At times words are hard to come
A tear's cadence upon the page
Brings not the heart to woe engage
How might I acutely scribe of thee
Thou who hath walked my destiny
With dimples fair as twilight sun
And eyes to melt the mellowed one
Though I ponder hard and long
My lyrics weave not into song
For of verses to portray thee
Is beyond the humble skill of me
