I see voices seeking faces
of people long time dead
voices now forgotten
lost words no longer said.
I see history of bygone days
ingrained in crumbled walls
lives that shaped the future
ghosts within it’s halls.
I see a stone enriched with eloquence
fated to be kissed
deeds now long departed
linger in the mist.
Forgotten days, forgotten lives
walls now overgrown
where people come from distant shores
to kiss The Blarney Stone.
