Autumn painted the skies in acrylic hues
in flames of russets and reds, fiery pictures she drew.
The fibres of her being were natures passage
between summer and winter her spirit engaged.
A part of her held summers kaleidescope of sensation,
as winter gradually eclipsed her with more sombre formation.
Autumn's resin became brittle as she leaned into browns
and as cool winds blew she adjusted her gown.
Allowing winter to don acrylics of pure white paints
Autumn understood this would be a time of dusky restraint.

Oh, I love this portrait of Autumn as an artist - very artistically rendered and especially that fourth stanza, where we find her leaning into browns and adjusting her gown - lovely and evocative work.
This poem has true flair!
