Her shadow dances across the wall
Her eyes like black coal
her footsteps light upon the path
Leading to his front door.
Down the alley
across the way
she dances lightly
Just to say
Goodnight to the one she loves.
She enters ever so quietly
and kneels where he lays
whispers her gentle
"I love you"
So before she sleeps at night
She visits him everyday
His grave though seemingly old
Hold the freshness of her tears.
Author notes
I do not know what really came over me. But I pictured her going through an alley way to get to her husbands grave.
