Filigree snowflakes
cover summer's
worn carpet
of orange leaves -
my desire
for her still burns
like August heat
under a Texas moon.

of orange leaves - super

I love this, Joe, yes, the word filigree lends wonderful imagery to the poem. which I would, btw, title differently, because you have it also in the body of the poem
maybe something that links the frost to the heat?=)
