He is not permanent
He was a mark on the foundation
A short while for time to witness
Made for a purpose not willing to say
She was not always there
A liar, in fact
She is a message from the stars
A work of art, too rich to touch
To be admitted, she will fade
I am not so important to her
An obstacle to move about and use
A toy, only to be played with
He was no more than minutes
A cold practicality, to satisfy needs
After that, another sun to be seen
Only temporary, among many night lights
He used kind words to cause wars
Processing thoughts of hatred and lust
Uniting nothing but shifty clouds
He buried the dark wound hard and deep
I am as bright as a fool
Too blind to see past myself
Acts that should have been prevented
Can purely be blamed on one mans heart
She was a silohuette of future dreams
Now reminders of shameful games
Delicate roses too hardenered to understand
She is dusk, forever moving
I am just the paper, for this sad story
To be scrawled upon
Author notes
The character of this poem is not written in the form of my own person. It is written from the point of view from someone close to me, I tried to put myself in their position and tried to think what they thought. Does it seem like a 10 minute poem?
Tell me what you think (it was rough and done in about 10 minutes)

Hey, this is awesome Mon,
It reminds me of "For my lover returning to his wife" - Anne Sexton,
Don't suppose you did English studies this year?
I haven't got time to leave a proper comment but I enjoyed this a lot!

Helloo, thankyou for the comment! And yes I did do English Studies. I tell you what, Pride & Prejudice is a bitch to get through but such a good book. But that's beside the point. I haven't written much poetry since high school so its a bit hard to know what to write about these days. Hope you're well xo
