Flight

Breath the lightly scented air
As the eyes scan for the slight scent of meat
Me? I'm lighter then a bird,
On my quick dragon feet.
I leap and gain aceptance
To fly however I wish
Mythical Magical Wonder
This feeling of safety in plight
Any second could mean doom
Yet flight feels so much better
And to know of my beauty
That it is more then any other in the land
Make my hear soar higher,
To touch the light of the land
Who's rays beat on my shimmery back
Making me warm and letting me stay up
Accelerating air currents under my splendid span
Light as air, or rays of light
In my flight, everything is light
Especially my heart and thoughts.

Author notes

Light.

I was listening to Jimmy Buffet's Cheeseburger in Paradise, thinking about Brisingr by Christopher Paolini. I was in a weird mood. I'm sorry if its way off from what you were thinking with the word. I know its a little obtuse ^_^

Great poem! The words you used created a great picture in my mind. I love these lines:

    Breath the lightly scented air
As the eyes scan for the slight scent of meat
Me? I'm lighter then a bird,
    On my quick dragon feet.

Good luck and thanks for entering!
