Oh God
you are harmonious of the prayer words for
blessing me and making me absorb
yet, my prayer words are assembled
with the impurity of my pen
then, please let me know
how to bring the reality in the words?
Especially, when you are the quest of
a letter-perfect poetry
Oh God...

This is a powerful poet's prayer, which deserves not only re-reading, but re-praying. Such a heart-rending picture, and really, heart-rending words, "then, please let me know/how to bring the reality in the words?" Yes, Holy Spirit, inspire us to bring truth, enlighten minds, and mend hearts. May you receive many blessings through the work of your pen, my dear Poet.

God and art. Yes, there could be a connection. Thank you for writing about it.

Beautifully done. I know this feeling well. Often I pray the words will come to soothe the mind and hit the parchment and yet sometiems there just are no words. Lovely piece

That photo is heartbreaking. When human beings have to resort to this kind of behavior and they are treated in such a way, there is such a painful response that I think poetry may be the only way to truly express that feeling of pain and loss of humanity. You have a gift for finding the right words, in any situation and I think your humbleness combined with your talent will really help you rise above the rest. Please keep submitting your poetry here, it is a pleasure to read and it shows people that there are still some people out there who care about the world and those in it.

The humbleness of your kindred spirit in this piece shines like a beacon in the night. Beautifully written piece of prose.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit for they shall see God." Yes indeed, only through God can we lift a pen to write and write of the things of Love. Your soul is in the right place in this piece.
I love this prayer and your thoughtful touch as you begin and end.

You have penned a window that inspires us to open our inner window. Love and openness infinitely flows through this piece and this pic, the connection is unexplainable yet deeply felt, makes "whole" sense, yet leaves me pondering not upon seeking perfection, but to simply keep compassionately seeking beyond self... a stirring intimately worldly piece you have penned, finely done my friend.

your poem made me see for the first time how close poverty and poetry are
also poverty and purity
beautiful poem

the love and never ending plea,
words are but pointers they can not do justice to the truth.
beautiful profound poetry
God bless you my friend...

An incense of prayer held in words...so fragrant and beautiful. I wish you the best in this contest. Peace, Rhonda

This picture has touched the depth of my soul and heart... It also inspired me to read something, I hope you don't mind if I use the picture?
As for the poem, it was so sliky and easy on the heart, contained so much pleading and begging also brought to me the thought of we are so unable to do anything even with out pens... words no matter how strong they are can't express the emotions.
Wonderfully penned, thanks for sharing!

Very heartfelt and sincere. The picture seemed to give the poem a certain boost in overall connection to the audience. Full of emotion, and I just pictured someone crying out for mercy. Bravo...
