This lonely swing

This lonely swing
It sways and creaks
No more squealing children
No more running feet

This lonely swing
It waits to sing
No more under ducks
No more children’s laughter

This lonely swing
It’s rusty these days
No more lovers kissing
No more light weight joys

This lonely swing
It sways and creaks
The wind is its only company
And the tree that holds it up

This lonely wind
It whisper’s to the swing
The children have grown up
The feet have slowed to a walk

This lonely wind
It hisses to the swing
Your strength is not what it has been
The laughs would be only tears and bruises

This lonely wind
It laughs to the swing
The lovers have been divorced
The light weight joys have gotten fat

This loving tree
Stands tall above the swing
The grown up’s will have children
The feet will run with joy again

This loving tree
Shelter’s the swing
They will replace your rusty chains with new
The children will swing safely and cry with happiness

This loving tree
It blow’s kiss’s to the swing
The lovers have found new loves
The light weight joys have been living happily, ready to come back
