In younger days
and leisured ways,
I took my chance and blew it.
I had energy to burn
with no concern,
I took my chance and blew it.
The sun, eternal timer
clocked me 100 miles an hour.
I didn't stop
I didn't think
I took my chance and blew it.
Now's your turn
to live and learn.
Now I’m leaving with my rot
but wish I had seized that shot
at life, love, fame, and fate.
So go and GO before its late.
Inside you early is time divine
there's plenty to do before YOU resign.

Could also apply to retirement...still need an active mind and body to enjoy it

I love the direct style. . and great flow. I can really hear this. But hey, there's always another chance in life. Luck in the contest and all.
