Soft
so gently
you arrive
and set my body
light and my heart
above. You linger ever
closer as the fingers gently
caress and the lights that once
shone bright are left to shimmer hues
so soft. I breath in your flowing soft touches.
My body aches with numbness as the burning
feels that I cannot touch you anymore.
No loving brushes no glowing eyes.
Here I lie beside your heart
so slowing tearing when
your lips speak. "Love"
as my eyelids so
slowly take
their last
close.

the first half of this poem describes the bliss of these two lovers being together. It talks about how he is her life, ex "I breath in your flowing soft touches" basically this says she needs him for life, as would someone who needs oxygen. the send half describes how loving him hurts her, ex "my body aches with numbness as the burning feels I cannot touch you anymore" Even though they love each other she can no longer be with him, for whatever reason that is not signified. At the very end they are together for one short last moment before she dies. the catch is that she died form the lack of him, her oxygen.
That is the story and why it fits into a forbidden love. this poem focuses on the results of the love being forbidden rather then on the reason or actions that make this love forbidden. I am sorry you should not understand that without me spelling it out for you. I should not assume that everyone has the capacity to understand this particular poem, but I think, you should not assume that just because you can't see how this is broken or forbidden love, it is not. Next time maybe you should give the poet time to recuperate and let those who don't get it know the real story.
