Teach your children while they’re young
about the power that love holds.
It’s a melody, that once sung,
will fill their lives as it unfolds.
The comfort of a mother’s hug,
the strength found in a brothers hand,
is more powerful than any drug
and once set loose, it will expand.
A touch of love that warms the heart
engenders courage to reach out
and pass the warmth, which will impart,
that feeling on to those without.
How can one person change the world?
We often give up before we try
and as we lay, fetally curled,
we fail to hear our heart’s reply.
Reach out and from that tiny seed,
by touch, by word, by each kind action,
we can fill the void of those in need;
a loving chain-reaction.
